About Me

My name is Rick Swing. I am the owner and long time restaurateur. I have been in the industry for almost 4 decades.
Studying creative writing and journalism while in college, I took on many positions in the restaurant industry. Developing from dishwashing in high school, to cook, to server, to bartender and ultimately management and investor.
As a journalist for NPR affiliate WRIR I had the humbled pleasure to interview Anthony Bourdain, from CNN’s ‘Parts Unknown’ and The Travel Channel’s ‘No Reservations’. It was a moment that would stay with me to this day. It was a highlight in both of my careers. I could seriously “talk shop” for days on about anything restaurant with Anthony. Definitely share a beer with him.
I learned so much from each individual I’ve encountered. From top chefs, to star bartenders. From mangers and creative owners. There probably isn’t a friend I have that wasn’t in the restaurant/bar industry.
Restaurants are where I feel the most comfortable in life. My passion for food and people are paramount as I move through life. It’s what brings us all together and have lasting memories for everyone involved.
I have a passion for the industry, and I want to give the knowledge I have back to it.
